Dread negotiating for what you want?
Webinar on negotiations for entrepreneurs
Learn how to shift out of fear and into trust in your relationships with clients, potential partners, investors and vendors.
Wednesday, July 28, 2021 via ZOOM
The webinar, workshops, and post-conference networking are free. You must register and attend to get full value from the event.
During this event you’ll hear about an approach that shifts the paradigm and empowers you to negotiate in a new, more meaningful way. Increase your chances for discovering agreement that is founded in trust and alignment and co-creating pathways for successfully navigating change and uncertainty.
You should still do your homework and prepare. But negotiations don’t have to be adversarial.
An inspiring keynote and interactive, small discussion groups
Our Keynote Speaker, Linda Alvarez, co-creator of the Conscious Contracts® process, will introduce you to the fundamentals of this new approach to negotiations. Immediately after the keynote, lawyer and facilitator Jacqueline Horani will lead you through an experiential workshop in small groups to understand what this shift can feel like in practice.
Prepare to open up to a new possibility and reach agreements that align with your core values and vision without sacrificing power or credibility.
About our speakers
Lawyer, of the Conscious Contracts® movement and author of Discovering Agreement, Linda Alvarez was initially trained in theatre. She and her husband produced and managed theatrical and media productions across the United States.
She pivoted and earned a law degree in 1997, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She entered private practice in the large firm environment — including Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (Palo Alto) and Vinson & Elkins (Houston) — becoming part of the team that defended the first mp3 player to enter the market. She became Senior Counsel for Litigation and Trademarks at Align Technology, Inc, developing expertise in intellectual property issues in the area of digital technology. She launched her solo practice in 2005.
In 2012, Linda was recognized by the American Bar Association as a “Legal Rebel” for her work in bringing change to the legal system and in 2016 the ABA published her book, “Discovering Agreement: Contracts That Turn Conflict Into Creativity.” Linda’s facilitation and mentorship services empower businesses and their lawyers to use contracts and foundational documents to “build-in” systemic responses to disruption and disagreement that are creative, robust, and aligned with the values and imperatives that are crucial to the mission and integrity of companies and leadership.
Jacqueline Horani is a lawyer, teacher, entrepreneur, and consultant. She launched her own practice in March of 2019 after discovering the limitations of litigation practice. Working with purpose-driven entrepreneurs and organizations, she helps them transform fear into trust and build aligned policies, contracts, and agreements that represent their true vision of the kind of work they truly want to be doing in the world.
Her think tank law firm leads research projects around the globe on Access-to-Justice, global economic equity, and collaborative structures. As a clinical law professor co-leading and developing an innovative global negotiations clinic teaching Conscious Contracts® to the next generation of lawyers, she works to bring her Legally Unconventional approach to the classroom. Find out more about her work at www.LegallyUnconventional.com or connect with her at LinkedIn.com/in/LegallyUnconventional (please add a note or send a message!).
