Women-Led Startups are disrupting HealthTech: “Women dominate healthcare. Not only do they make up half of the world’s population, but 90% of women are the primary healthcare decision makers for their households. Put simply, that’s an estimated 3.73 billion women who need access to the most effective healthcare solutions for themselves and their families. Women also comprise 70% of the healthcare workforce globally. But when it comes to funding women-led healthtech startups – surprise – funding is scarce. Only 9.7% of investor funding goes to healthtech startups led by women. Leaving the world’s healthcare problems solely in the hands of men inevitably leads to the creation of products that are blind to biases. And these biases can be deadly.”

This WE NYC Summit, co-hosted with Women.nyc, will highlight female founders working in HealthTech, challenging the status quo, and making a profit. There will be a combination of talks and panels with female founders.

Panelists to include:

Elina Berglund, CEO & Co-founder of Natural Cycles

Carla Caramat, CEO & Co-founder of Dentists on Demand

Dr. Annie De Groot CEO & Founder of EpiVax.

Childcare will be provided.
